NO WAY OUT TAKES CENTERSTAGE
Rosauro to defend title from veteran Alarin in main event of CEFL No Way Out tonight at Cebu Coliseum
Feared striker Roel Rosauro's actions will do all the talking for him as he looks to defend his turf against visiting MMA veteran Urtych Alarin in the main event of Cebu Extreme Fight League (CEFL) - "No Way Out" tonight at the Cebu Coliseum.
"I will leave all the talking inside the cage," the soft-spoken Rosauro (3-1) said after yesterday's weigh-in the J Centre Mall in Mandaue City.
Alarin (6-2) still has a score to settle with Rosauro after the latter stopped his teammate at XFC MMA Lorde Rey Yamit last year in a PXC show in Cagayan De Oro.
The 35-year-old Alarin, however, believes that this fight is all business.
"This is nothing personal. This is a sport. I will do my best to beat him. If I win then I will avenge him," he said.
Rosauro, an experienced striker from Yaw-Yan Ardigma, and Alarin both tipped the scales at 141 pounds.
Deftac Vagabond Cebu's Arnel Ylanan (5-2) takes on Yaw-Yan Olongapo's Romel Lugo (5-3) in the co-main event.
Mactan Combat Sports' Niño Rio Saoy (2-2) faces off with YawYan Olongapo's Ivan Rodley Victorio (1-0) in one of the main featured bouts.
"When I introduced MMA in Cebu in 2004 we used a traditional boxing ring but but now we are using an cage. This is it, no way out," said CEFL organizer and Yaw-Yan Ardigma CEO Benigno "Ekin" Caniga.
Some of those fighting in the undercard are Joemar Bayang (91) of Legacy Gym Boracay takes on Jomar Manlngit (6-0) of YawYan Kampilan; Er'Spawn MMA's Peter Paul Sonido (6-3) squares off with Yaw-Yan Kampilan's Kim Vallejos (4-0-1); former pro pug Rufino Mante (7-1) of Legacy Gym Boracay trades leathers with Shadow Box MMA's Romel Deita (8-1); sports scribe Lemuel Maglinte (2-0) of Yaw-Yan Ardigma faces off with ex-boxer Rodel Calbog (0-1) of My Gym MMA; Frederick Lim Jr. (10-4) of My Gym MMA locks horns with Dane Caesar Dawal (1-0) of Gladiator CDO MMA; and Deftac Vagabond Cebu's Rhyle Lugo (1-0) takes on Ariane Fantilanan of Er'Spawn MMA.
