ANGELINA TALKS ABOUT DIVORCE FROM BRAD

Speaking for the first time since she filed to divorce Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie admitted life has not been easy… but she’s coping by taking it one day at a time.

“I don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time. We are a family and we will always be a family, and we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it,” Jolie told

BBC News in her first interview since the divorce drama.

First They Killed My Father. Maddox, 15, who was adopted from Cambodia, assisted his mother in making the movie.

“Many, many people find themselves in this situation. My whole family, we’ve all been through a difficult time. My focus is my children, our children, and my focus is finding this way through,” Jolie also said about her divorce, holding back tears.

“It’s been a difficult few months. Right now, I’m going through a moment when just everybody’s in my room. Two hamsters, two dogs and two children at the moment. It’s wonderful but, usually, I just wake up trying to figure out who’s going to get (the) dog out, who’s going to start the pancakes and did anybody brush their teeth.”

Jolie said she wants to travel the world with her children in the future. Her children with Pitt were born in different countries.

Pax Thien, 13, was adopted from Vietnam, while Zahara, 12, was adopted from Ethiopia.

Biological child Shiloh, 10, was born in Namibia while the youngest of the Jolie Pitt children, eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox were born in France. First They Killed My Father is based on the autobiography of Cambodian human rights activist Loung Ung on the tragedy that hit the country caused by the Khmer Rouge communist party in the 1970s. During the premiere, Maddox had a chance to address the audience. He said: “Thank you everyone for attending tonight. We finally made it. It’s a great honor to present this film to all of you, and to stand by my mother and my family.” Jolie also thanked Cambodia: “Most of all, this film is my way of saying thank you to Cambodia. Without Cambodia, I may never have become a mother. Part of my heart is and will always be in this country. And part of this country is always with me: Maddox.”
