BOY SKIPS CLASS FOR A SWIM, DROWNS IN RIVER

A 10-year-old boy who reportedly cut classes drowned while swimming with his friends in Sitio Anislag, Barangay Cambang-og, Toledo City. Police identified the fatality as Ike Daniel Dolino Milan. The incident happened in Sapangdaku River last Friday morning. Some residents saw the boy swimming in the river past 11 a.m. They panicked when the boy’s friends screamed for help. At 1:30 p.m., one of the rescuers found Milan under the water. Milan was rushed to the city’s public hospital, but the doctor declared him dead on arrival. /
