Brgy. councilor in Dalaguete dies in road crash

A barangay councilman, who is also a teacher, was killed in a road crash on I.C. Kintanar St., Barangay Lamacan, Argao yesterday.

Jague Jun Jaca, 36, died when the motorcycle of Eugene Calisan, 26, collided with his motorcycle at around 6 p.m.

Calisan was allegedly driving on a high speed and encroached on the lane Jaca was in, said PO3 Bobby Naces of the Argao Police Station.

Rescuers rushed Jaca to a nearby hospital but was transferred to another facility in Naga City, where he died because of severe injuries.

Jaca was a teacher of Argao National High School and a councilor of Barangay Tabon in Dalaguete.

Calisan is detained at the Argao Police Station while waiting for the filing of charges against him for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and damage to property. /
