Quota Int'l to mark 40 years in community service

Quota International (QI) of Cebu will mark its 40th year (Ruby) as an international all-women volunteer service organization on March 11, 2017.

It all began in 1976 when charter president Lygia Ibañez accepted the invitation to organize the 3rd Quota Club to be established in the Philippines, following that of Quota Club of Manila and Quota Club of Iloilo.

The charter ceremony was held on Jan. 12, 1977 at Casino Español de Cebu.

Quota is an international organization based in Washington DC, USA.

It is dedicated to helping the disadvantaged women and children, deaf, hard of hearing and speech-impaired.
