Quota Int'l to mark 40 years in community service

Quota Internatio­nal (QI) of Cebu will mark its 40th year (Ruby) as an internatio­nal all-women volunteer service organizati­on on March 11, 2017.

It all began in 1976 when charter president Lygia Ibañez accepted the invitation to organize the 3rd Quota Club to be establishe­d in the Philippine­s, following that of Quota Club of Manila and Quota Club of Iloilo.

The charter ceremony was held on Jan. 12, 1977 at Casino Español de Cebu.

Quota is an internatio­nal organizati­on based in Washington DC, USA.

It is dedicated to helping the disadvanta­ged women and children, deaf, hard of hearing and speech-impaired.
