Parmis includes Girls Town in program

-

While Boys Town is on vacation, coach Van Halen Parmis and the Cebu Provincial Sports Commission expanded its sporting program to the Sisters of Mary School Girls town in Talisay City.

The project that started giving a basketball lesson to some 50 students at the SMS Boys Town in Tungkop, Minglanilla last year, will now expand to the Girls Town with the help of the Cebu Provincial Sports Commission (CPSC) and the volunteer coaches who helped reach out to the 3,200 students.

“This project was decided after the local superior of the Boys Town urged me to extend the same help to its sister school. At first I was really hesitant because of the number, which is double than that of Boys Town. But God really provides. Governor ( Jun Jun) Davide extended his help through Atty. Ramil Abing and Sir Brando Velasquez of the CPSC,” Parmis said.
