AIESEC Cebu holds first YouthSpeak Forum

- / PR

A one-day event for young leaders in the Visayas is set to happen at the Social Hall of the Cebu Provincial Capitol this Saturday, March 4.

YouthSpeak Forum in Cebu will gather hundreds of college students and young professionals from all over Visayas to learn about three of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals: climate action, education and poverty.

With the theme, “Innovate and Collaborate for the World,” YouthSpeak enables young leaders. Besides learning about the issues related to these development goals, the delegates will also collaborate with their fellow delegates, the government and nongovernment organizations to address these issues.

The forum aims to create an environment where people from diverse backgrounds can crosspollinate ideas, share insights and gain new perspectives to create actionable outcomes to push the world forward.

According to AIESEC Cebu President Ave Zela Coleen Melo, the event will pave way for the youth to prove that they are more than “lazy, selfentitle” kids as perceived by the older generation.

YouthSpeak Forum in Cebu is organized by AIESEC, a non-profit, non-political and independent organization that aims to develop the youth’s leadership potential, and is copresented by Mega Cebu, making W.A.V.E.S. for Cebu in 2050.

YouthSpeak Forum in Cebu is still accepting delegates. Registration is open for second to fifth year college students and recent graduates only. Join the movement and be part of the solution! Register for the first ever YouthSpeak Forum in the Queen City of the South.
