Global Cebu FC to face Malaysia’s Johor Darul Ta’zim in AFC Cup
Global Cebu FC looks to remain at the top of Group F of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup tonight in an away match with Malaysian club Johor Darul Ta’zim at the Stadium Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Yunos in Malaysia.
Global Cebu FC has been impressive in its AFC Cup campaign, racking up six points in two victories. Global Cebu beat Myanmar club Magwe FC, 1-0, in its tournament debut with skipper Misagh Bahadoran scoring the game’s lone goal.

points. This is not going to be an easy game,” Bahadoran said during the pre-match press conference.
Last week, Global FC won its second match, 2-0, against Cambodian side Beoungket Angkor FC. This time, it was Azkals veteran Paul Mulders who was on form as he scored both goals for Global FC, which will be representing Cebu in the upcoming Philippines Football League.
Global FC is at the top of the Group F table with six points, followed by Johor Darul Taz’im with four points from a win and a draw.

Magwe FC is third with a point, while Beoungket Angkor FC is at the bottom with no points.
A win against Johor, which won the tournament in 2015, will put Global at nine points, five points clear of the Malaysian side.
After two matches on the road, Global Cebu will host Johor Darul in the second round of the group stage on April 5 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium and will also host Beoungket Angkor FC on May 3 before traveling to Yangon on April 19 to meet Magwe FC. /
