Cebu City Marriott Hotel celebrated last week its 20th year in Cebu with a fair dubbed “Glance: Celebrating Timeless Distinction.” It wasn’t just a celebration of 20 years of service excellence and brilliant hosting, but also of the contributions of icons in the local wedding industry. The city’s wedding suppliers were showcased in a bridal fair last March 8 and 9, and during the grand finale, a bridal fashion show featuring local designers was held. Marriott also gave Partners in Excellence Awards to honor those in the wedding industry who have served the community for more than 20 years.
Stories told of how things came to be, stories that tell tales of old and stories that will last a lifetime. It was a night of splendor, romance and most of all memories as Cebu City Marriott Hotel presented Glance: Celebrating Timeless Distinction last week, in celebration of 20 years of service excellence and brilliant hosting.
The three-day fair that happened last March 8-10 didn’t just feature highlights of Marriott’s 20 years in Cebu City, it also celebrated those deemed as icons in the wedding industry.
The city’s wedding suppliers were showcased last March 8 and 9 from photographers, stylists to wedding coordinators and a string of bridal gowns by notable designers that bedecked the foyer.
By the grand finale, a bridal fashion show took place just after Marriott’s Partners in Excellence Awards which honored those in the wedding industry who’ve served the community for more than 20 years.
That night on March 10, the Sampaguita Ballroom was transformed into a room filled with trimmings that bespoke grandeur from the white drapings down to the wisterias cascading the ceiling with sweet vocal stylings of Anna Fegi-Brown and the Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra serenading its guests.
Each evoking resplendent notes of distinction, the grand bridal fashion show presented the creations of illustrious designers Philipp Tampus, Harley Ruedas, Marichu TanGeson, Oj Hofer, Jun Escario and Philip Rodriguez; designs bespeaking timeless elegance and perfect for that moment of forever.
