Was it also David Lim Jr. who was involved in the vehicular accident in Banilad that killed a fish dealer last March 4? Bobby Nalzaro brings up talks that the sports car driver who figured in a vehicular accident at the Banilad flyover was actually David Lim Jr., and not his father, David Lim Sr. It was the father who admitted that he was the driver of the Nissan GT-R that was involved in that accident. The claim was made after the pictures and video of David Jr. went viral in social media after he figured in a traffic altercation Sunday dawn. “But until somebody surfaces to tell the whole story and positively identifies Lim, this ‘new twist’ should be treated as mere hearsay or ‘tsismis’.”

There is this claim that the sports car driver who figured in a vehicular incident along Archbishop Reyes Ave., that resulted in the death of a young family man last March 4 was David Lim Jr. It was the father, David Lim Sr., who admitted to have figured in that accident. The claim was made after the pictures of David Jr., went viral in social media after he figured in a traffic altercation Sunday dawn.

The information I got said that some witnesses to that car accident wherein the sports car rammed into the motorcycle driven by Philip Pugoy, 26, who died on the spot, claimed that the sports car driver looked like David Jr. The sports car driver went away from the site of the incident and immediately took a taxi cab.

Another information I got from a friend who is close to the Lim family said that although David Sr. has several sports cars, he seldom drives these. It is his children who use these vehicles most of the time.

My informant said that the older Lim’s time being a car enthusiast has already lapsed. Also, the older Lim is no longer fond of going out at night or drinking heavily. Besides, his wife is very strict and he can no longer hang out at night.

But until somebody surfaces to tell the whole story and positively identifies Lim, this “new twist” should be treated as mere hearsay or “tsismis.” Anyway, the case was amicably settled with the Lim family extending financial assistance to the Pugoy family and educational plans for his two children. His lawyer, Orlando Salatandre, claimed Lim acted in self defense because Nuñal and his companions were about to attack him

Also, if this information is true, the young Lim has “paid” for that “sin” by committing another “sin.” He shot Ephraim Montalbo Nuñal, a nurse and employee of UCMed, following a traffic altercation Sunday dawn along F. Sotto St.

Nunal, who was with his friends (not yet identified) complained that the Mercedes Benz driven by Lim was zigzagging and stopped in the middle of the street, blocking his way. He blew his horn but Lim alighted from his vehicle and confronted him. The confrontation and the shooting was recorded by another motorist through his/her dashboard cam.

Nuñal was wounded in his thigh and ankle. Lim and a woman companion identified as Tamae Takahashi, a Fil-Japanese, immediately boarded their car and sped away after the shooting.

Lim surrendered to Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 Director Noli Taliño yesterday dawn and was given a special treatment. He was allowed to stay at Talino’s office before he was presented to the media and for booking procedures. He was not in “PNP detainee” uniform. He was heavily guarded by a combat ready Special Action Force (SAF) team when he was brought to the fiscal’s office.

His lawyer, Orlando Salatandre, claimed Lim acted in self-defense because Nuñal and his companions were about to attack him. That’s his side. Lim will be charged with frustrated murder and illegal possession of firearms. I hope Nuñal is determined to seek justice and will not settle amicably by accepting money.
