MANDAUE FAVORED IN U21 BASKETBALL
Mandaue City may have come in late, but it is the early favorite in the Cebu Governor’s Cup Inter-Cities/Municipalities 21-Under basketball tournament. Mandaue, one of the eight latecomers in the event that drew 38 teams, is considered as one of the strongest teams as it will be led by the University of the Visayas’ Raul Jancork Cabahug and Kenneth Brillo and the University of Cebu’s Froilan Mangubat. The other notable players of Mandaue are DBTC’s Aljie Mendez, JB Damolo, USC’s Steven Mendoza and Christopher Erick Isabelo. Mandaue is grouped with Consolacion, Liloan, Compostela, Pilar and Tudela in North Division 1./
