Police will file a non-bailable case against a 37-year- old pregnant woman, who was caught peddling drugs in the vicinity of a mall in Talisay City.

SPO2 Jeffrey Diola of the Talisay City Police Station said that Edlyn Generales let her 12-yearold son bring a white envelope containing 50 grams of drugs, but she was the one who handed it to the police.

“Her son only accompanied her. He was the one who brought the stash but it was her who handed it to us,” Diola said.

A previous report said it was her son who gave the shabu to operatives.

She will face charges for the violation of Sec. 5, Article 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

He said they will still coordinate with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for the filing of child abuse charges against Generales.

Diola, who came from the City Intelligence Branch in Cebu City, said Generales was an alleged courier of Jeffrey “Jaguar” Diaz, Cebu’s biggest drug lord.

He said Generales contacts a gay person when she makes drug deals and he will be the one to give her the drugs, possibly sourced from other contacts of Diaz.

Generales was caught with more than half a million worth of shabu last Sunday night’s buy-bust.
