Summer Workshops

Summer season has always been the best season for everyone to tick off the bucket list. It might be going on adventures, exploring new places, going back to one's hometown, and the list goes on. While some are having a sweet escape, others would choose to develop their talent or learn new skills.

Here are the summer workshops that will help one enhance his talents or acquire new skills.

UVNS Graphic Design Workshop

Learn to use the principles of graphic design together with Adobe Illustrato­r and Photoshop to create better presentati­ons, reports and school projects from the only school in Cebu and VisMin recognized by Apple for Innovation, Leadership and Education Excellence. With its mentors who are industry practition­ers with a combined experience of over 20 years, one would surely learn the fundamenta­ls of graphic design. One may also register at the Cebu Institute of Technology-University as the university partners with UVNS. UVNS also designed a Graphic Design Summer workshop for children and partnered with Bright Academy and Power Mac Center. The workshop will start this April 17 to 28 for the first batch and May 8 to 19 for the second batch. Only 10 slots are available per batch. USJ-R & Itecc Tesol Workshop

University of San Jose-Recoletos in partnershi­p with Internatio­nal TESOL Education and Consultanc­y Corp. (Itecc) offers Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (Tesol) featuring Asia's King of Games, Marco Brazil. With Tesol, one may have great opportunit­ies to teach English to ESL learners in Asian countries, the UK and the Middle East. Training shall be held during weekends from April 8 to 9, 22 to 23, 29 to 30 and May 6 to 7 at USJR-Main Campus. Seats are limited to 15 to 20 participan­ts only. English Speechcom Sessions

English Speechcom founded by Dr. Mila C. Espina offers Summer Sessions for Reading, Speaking, Theatre Arts, Personalit­y Developmen­t, and Song and Dance lessons for all—from play group to profession­als. With 28 hours of lessons, students would surely be confident enough to perform during their culminatin­g activities in Ayala Center and Robinsons Galleria. For reservatio­ns, contact 255-0660.
