1 POLICE DESCRIBE ASEAN MEETINGS AS PEACEFUL
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) meetings were peaceful and organized, Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 Director Noli Taliño said. He said the Asean Coordinating Committee thanked different agencies that took part in the event. Yesterday, the Cebu City Police Office continued providing escorts to the delegates as they toured the city after the summit. Recently, the Bureau of Immigration in Manila caught two alleged members of the military terror group ISIS who reportedly stayed in Cebu for three days. JOB
2 1 WOUNDED AS GUARD FIRES GUN ACCIDENTALLY
A towing assistant was wounded after a security guard accidentally fired his gun on V. Rama St., Barangay Calamba yesterday morning. SPO2 Rommel Bancog of the Homicide Section said that Ramil Villamarin was resting inside their bunkhouse when they heard a gunshot. It was from the gun of 21-year-old security guard, Ramniel Cuizon. Bancog said the caliber .38 revolver was not placed in a holster. Homicide investigators confiscated the gun and recovered an empty slug and four bullets. Cuizon is detained in Police Station 6 pending filing of charges. / JOB
3 POLICE ARREST 3 DRUG SUSPECTS IN LAPU-LAPU
Three drug suspects were arrested in separate operations in Lapu-Lapu City. Lapu-Lapu Police Station 3, led by Senior Insp. Felix Cleopas III, arrested Saad “Aki” Diamla, 30, and Cherose “Che-che” Pamaybay, 29, near a gasoline station on 2nd Street at 4:30 p.m. last Friday. A total of 26 sachets of suspected shabu, the buy-bust money and another P400 cash were seized from them. Last Thursday, Cleopas’ team also arrested Aljon Mar “Jomar” Berame, 27, in Purok Atis at 9:20 p.m. Police seized four sachets of shabu from Berame. / FMG
