The President will spend some “private time” today.
“Today, it will be a private time for him,” Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella told a press conference in Hong Kong.
While in Hong Kong, he is scheduled to meet with the Filipino community at the Regal Airport Hotel. Some 210,000 Filipinos are working and residing in the Special Administrative Region, majority of whom are household service workers.
In his departure speech delivered Wednesday in Pasay City, Duterte said he would take the opportunity to relay his programs and policies.
“Our OFWs are our key partners in national development. I will meet them in Hong Kong to let them know – like I let you know – what your government is doing for you and what you can do to become even more productive partners for positive change in our country,” Duterte said.
