Sato, Deen rule The View
Jufil Sato and Eric Deen were almost flawless in their game and bagged the overall gross honors in The View Invitational, the annual member-guest tournament of Alta Vista Golf and Country Club, which wrapped up over the weekend.
The overall net title went to the tandem of Jun Sasuman and Paolo Alberto.
Sato fired rounds of 34 and 35, while Deen made 36 and 35 for a two-day total of 140 points in the Modified Stableford Scoring System.
The tournament, which ran from May 18 to 21, required teams to play two rounds during that period.
Sasuman (38) and Alberto (40) made a total of 78 points in the first round then added 74 in the second as each scored 37 points for an aggregate of 152 points.
The Division A title went to the duo of reigning club champion Alex Yeo (38-37) and Brigadier General Nick Parilla (38-35) of the Philippine Air Force. Yeo and Parilla had a two-day aggregate of 148 points.
First runner-up for the premiere handicap class was the team of Eric Kong (35-36) and Andy Potts (34-40) with a total of 145 points. Second runner-up honors went to Roy Damole (34-33) and Romeo Aguilon (40-37) with 144 points.
Edward Kim (35-41) and Kang Sang Uk (38-37) combined for 151 points to rule Division B.
Jude Demiar (42-34) and Tito Omayan (38-28) finished second with 142 points while Koji Yonezawa (33-39) and Jeffrey Ramirez (3633) finished third with 141 points.
Anwar Abarintos (33-39) and Dr. Orven Lim (35-40) topped Division C with a total of 147 points.
Second place went to Zaldy Casinillo (33-34) and Jimmy Vicaldo (32-38) with a total of 137. Third place went to Ruby Son (22-31) and Lee Tai Woo (40-40) with 133 edging the team of Clive Paca and Joseph Akol in the countback. /
