With the unveiling of its latest dealership in Nissan Cebu South, Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) ushers a new era in the local automotive scene.

The Gateway Group selection was inevitable given the company’s direction of carrying renowned international car brands. Gateway is the largest multi-brand car dealership in Cebu with reputable brands such as Kia, BMW, Peugeot and Mahindra.

Due to the strong presence of Gateway in the local car industry, the partnership seemed fitting as Nissan and Gateway share common goals of aggressiveness and growth. Gateway has numerous branches across the country and is known for pioneering innovative ideas such as trade-in deals, low-down promos and flexible financing options.

Although Nissan has been present for many years, NPI is eyeing to maximize the potential of the Nissan brand. It believes that the Gateway Group can bring it to the next level. The partnership will cater to the growing demands of the market, which has showed tremendous growth over the last five years with an estimated 15 percent increase annually.

Cebuanos have shown a growing taste for brands that represent excellent quality, especially the booming economy surrounding Cebu City.

“Nissan is a very reputable brand with a long history. There is no more doubt on its durability and performance. This brand has been tested and is very much trusted,” said Michael Goho, executive vice president of Gateway Group.

Gateway considers the partnership a significant milestone. It not only represents the growth of its business, but also its desire to reach out and provide better and more accessible products and services to Cebuanos.
