1 DAVIDE WANTS TO TURN OVER CPDRC CONTROL TO BJMP

Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III saw the need to turn over management of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP). Davide issued the statement following his appearance before a House inquiry on the alleged mismanagement of the CPDRC. Davide said it was high time for the BJMP to manage the provincial jail. Davide admitted that the Province does not have the expertise to manage the CPDRC. With BJMP, CPDRC will be managed by personnel who are trained to handle inmates. /
