And the winners are…

-

Dancing with the Stars ( DWTS) and The Voice season 12 crowned their respective winners Tuesday night (in the US).

It was a night of firsts: Alicia Keys got her first win on The

Voice as coach of crowned winner Chris Blue; football player Rashad Jennings finally won something as celebrity dancer on Dancing With

the Stars with pro Emma Slater, who also collects her first win after seven seasons on the show.

Keys will not be coming back as coach next season but joked in an interview that it was her dream to beat fellow coach Blake Shelton, who loves to boast about winning the contest four times.

"I gotta be honest… it's a great dream of mine to put a whoopin' on Blake Shelton! I couldn't wait for the day," said Keys.

Blue faced off with Team Blake's Lauren Duski in the final two.

The other two finalists were Aliyah Moulden, also of Team Blake, and Jesse Larson of Team Adam Levine. Team Gwen Stefani did not have a representative in the finals.

"And when you think you're not good enough, someone, somewhere does," Blue said of his experience on The Voice.

Meanwhile, Jennings had to stand alongside fellow athlete David Ross in the final two of DWTS. The audience booed when it was announced that Normani Kordei, deemed the best celebrity dancer in the competition, and pro Val Chmerkovskiy placed only third in the contest.

It was athlete versus athlete. But Ross, who recently came off a world series win, was deemed the worst dancer among the last three competing celebrities.

And it was all the more sweet when Jennings was announced the winner since he has never won anything in his life—not the Super Bowl, not a college championship.

“So, you've never won anything, huh?” DWTS host Tom Bergeron joked as he handed Jennings the famed Mirror Ball trophy.

“Yeah, that's turned around right now,” a beaming Jennings answered.
