Furniture City beautifies home

-

Homeowner Alfredo Batulan couldn’t recognize his old home. New furniture from Furniture City’s Home Suite and GLC Fine Living, new décor, soft light fixtures, white painted walls and well-tiled floors have invaded his home. It was quite the opposite of his unfinished interiors with no tiles, no paint and roughshod furniture.

Batulan was the lucky winner of the MagTV Na! Home Makeover. His letter was chosen among more than 2,000 others requesting ABS-CBN to redecorate their old homes. MagTV Na! created the Home Makeover challenge as part of its anniversary celebration and as a way of saying thank you to all their viewers for patronizing the show.

Batulan’s story stood out from all the other letter-senders. He once suffered from bone tumor and the only way to save him was to amputate his right foot. It was the lowest point in his family’s life.

In order to survive financially, Batulan sent his wife to pastry class. And through his wife, he learned how to bake too. So the couple invested in a small business.

MagTV Na! was touched by Batulan’s story and awarded him the opportunity for a Home Makeover.

The Furniture City has more than 25 varied manufacturers and design partners. For the MagTV Na! segment, Furniture City’s design partner Home Suite donated a beautiful sofa set and footstools, while GLC Fine Living sponsored a four-seater dining set and two more footstools for Batulan’s four-member household.
