Eco-friendly Tosot in Cebu

- JOG

In support of the rising residential buildings and commercial activities in Cebu, global brand Tosot air-conditioning systems has entered the local market with a promise to deliver “eco-friendly” and “high-quality” air-conditioning systems.

After expanding in the Philippines in October 2015, Tosot Philippines Corp. general manager Tomas Balete said, the company has been warmly welcomed in Manila with largely corporate cli- ents signing up for Tosot air-conditioning products. Among them are selected branches of fast-food chain Jollibee, Hi-Precision laboratories, malls, supermarkets, hotels and schools in Luzon.

“We hope to get this kind of projects here in Cebu,” said Balete during the official launching of Tosot in Cebu yesterday.

The executive expressed optimism on their expansion in Cebu as more office, commercial and residential structures are being built. “The infrastructure projects of this administration also support our confidence in Cebu,” Balete said.

The company’s presence in Cebu also allows it to offer eco-friendly air-conditioning systems. Nowadays, Balete said, establishments have become more environmentally conscious as threats on global warming continue to be felt. For instance, most of its corporate clients avail themselves of inverter air-conditioning, which is more energy efficient. Generally, an inverter AC has a sensor that adjusts power according to the room temperature, lowering power consumption.

Tosot products help companies bring down their electricity bill due to Tosot’s energy efficiency features, Balete said.

Tosot Philippines is the exclusive importer of Tosot products in the country. The name stands for Technology, Outstanding, Style, Originality and Trust. As a global brand, it is launched by Gree Electric Appliances Inc. of Zhuhai, China, said to be the largest air-conditioning manufacturer in the world.

In the near term, Balete said, Tosot Philippines will largely focus on corporate sales. Currently, its retail presence is with online shop Lazada; it has no plans yet to penetrate appliance stores. But with its office in Traders Arcade along Hernan Cortes in Mandaue City, retail buyers can purchase Tosot air-conditioning units as well as air coolers, electric fans, and electric kettles.

Launched globally in 2013, Tosot is also distributed in China, Ukraine, Jordan, Iraq, Russia, Canada, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Hong Kong, Austria and Turkey. /
