Weekend killings claim 3

Three men were murdered in separate cases in Aloguinsan, Boljoon, and Toledo City last Sunday night.

At 7 p.m., Jorwil Siegue Gabasa was shot to death allegedly by his long-time enemy Jaycris Dizon Recla.

Gabasa succumbed to gunshot wounds in the face and other parts of his body. Recla fled.

The victim was drinking liquor with his friends outside his house before he was attacked by the suspect.

Three empty shells of a .45 pistol were found in the crime scene.

Twenty minutes later, Juanito Trasmil Cairo was allegedly killed by his nephew Jeffrey, after the latter struck him with a rock in Sitio Lingatong, Barangay Upper Becerril, Boljoon.

Severe injury in the head caused Cairo’s death.

Investigat­ion showed that the suspect stopped Cairo while the latter was driving his motorcycle.

After Cairo parked, Jeffrey smashed his head.

Jeffrey surrendere­d to the police station last Monday.

A murder complaint was filed against him.

In Sitio Bliss, Barangay Bonbon, Aloguinsan, Crisanto Unabia was allegedly killed by Richard Cimafranca at 9:30 p.m.

Witnesses told the police that Cimafranca attacked Unabia, while the latter was driving his motorcycle.

The suspect hit the victim’s head with a hollow block. Unabia fell. Cimafranca left but came back with a crowbar, which he used to strike the victim’s head several times. Police arrested Cimafranca. A murder complaint was filed against him. /
