St. Mark Hotel's Halo Restaurant adds two new highlights to its daily buffet: Dumanjug native chicken for lunch and roast beef and pasta for dinner.

The hotel's restaurant is known for partnering with local brands. Halo first introduced Rico's lechon and Alejandro's crispy pata to its buffet last August.

“Adding Rico's and Alejandro's to our buffet was well received by our guests, so we decided to introduce more local items in the buffet selection,” said hotel manager Gieselle Abinales.

“These are signatures of Cebu. We wanted to serve food that Cebuanos are attached to. So when guests dine, whether Filipino or not, they are eating a part of Cebu's culture,” Abinales continued.

Roast beef and pasta were included to cater to the foreign customers. Halo's roast beef is made of US prime rib and is seasoned in-house by the head chef. For pasta, one can choose from four sauces namely puttanesca, pesto, bolognese and carbonara.

Halo's buffet spread also includes a salad bar, a selection of appetizers, a variety of other main courses and a dessert section. Lunch buffet also includes chilled juices.

Dumanjug native chicken is available on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at P398, while roast beef and pasta are available on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday from 6 to 10 p.m. at P448. St. Mark Hotel is on Queens Road, Redemptorist Plaza, Barangay Camputhaw, Cebu City.
