Police and soldiers who went after and killed 11 Abu Sayyaf fighters in Bohol last April and May will be among those meeting with President Rodrigo Duterte today in the Mactan air base, along with top police and Central Command officials.

President Rodrigo Duterte will today meet with soldiers and police personnel inside the hangar of the 220th Airlift Wing in the 2nd Air Division headquarters at the Mactan-Benito Ebuen Air Base.

According to the website of the Philippine Information Agency, Duterte's short visit will involve the traditional “talk to men” with around 500 soldiers under Central Command (Centcom) and policemen under Police Regional Office (PRO) 7.

Among those who will face the President are soldiers and policemen who participated in the operation and killing of 11 Abu Sayyaf members in Bohol last March and April.

Duterte will be welcomed by Centcom Chief Lt. Gen. Oscar Lactao, PRO 7 Director Noli Talino, Naval Forces Central Chief Commodore Loumer Bernabe, 2nd Air Division commander Maj. Gen. Jose Mirandilla Jr., and Aviation Security Command Chief Senior Supt. Roberto Quiboyen.

The President will also meet with Michael Lloyd Dino, presidential assistant for the Visayas; and Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority General Manager Steve Dicdican.

Duterte will also join soldiers and police personnel in a boodle fight.

This will be Duterte's second visit to soldiers in Cebu. The first time was at Centcom last August when he announced he was doubling their salaries.
