Organized by PhilConstruct Events, Exhibitions and Conferences Corp., the show is meant to acquaint Cebu-based contractors, engineers, and designers with the latest technology, applications, and solutions in the building industry.

It also included a seminar on formworks, a discussion on the implementing rules of the Government Procurement Reform Act (Republic Act 9184), a heavy equipment safety seminar, a seminar on taxation for the construction industry, and a safety seminar for workers.

The organizers collaborated with the Cebu Contractors Asso- ciation Inc., the Philippine Constructors Association (PCA), and the Philippine Society of Ventilating, Air-Conditioning and Refrigerating Engineers.

Its partners also include the Construction Manpower Development Foundation, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors, and Government Procurement Policy Board.

“Following last year’s breathtaking sell-out is another sold-out exhibition for our eighth year. We have more than 300 companies for you at the show,” said Bernard Sia, event chairman of PHILCONSTRUCT Visayas.

Other highlights are the pavilion for interior designers by the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers, a pavilion by the United Architects of the Philip- pines, an outdoor heavy equipment display flaunting more than 20 massive building and construction equipment, innovation presentations, technical seminars, and workshops.

“This show is a huge state- ment on what the construction industry is capable of achieving when we work together, from effective exhibits to developing potential areas in the country,” remarked Engr. Dante Abando, president of PCA.
