It’s summer all-year round at Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel where more new and fun activities await.

“I think everyone knows that Cebu made it to one of the best islands in the world. We are so lucky that Costabella is in Cebu. I think what makes Costabella special speaking from the heart is because of the many joyful memories that we are able to give our guests throughout the years,” said Marita Arambulo, general manager of Costabella.

The hotel has certainly come a long way, from opening way back in July 16, 1981, having started with only 16 rooms. The resort now has over 156 rooms.

“This is a family owned and managed hotel and what you see around you is the vision of the founders, my parents Marcelita and Luis Alvarez who unfortunately passed away just two years ago. But all of this is their vision which we hope the family would continue and improve. We are 35 years old and in July we are going to be 36 as we started operation in July 1981,” Marita said.

“Mactan then wasn’t very famous but my father knew it had beautiful beaches. So, he started with a family beach house so we would come here for the summer and he decided to share this beautiful place with everyone else,” she added.

As the resort wishes to continue to evolve for summer lovers, Costabella engages them in summer activities such as kayaking, banana boat and jet ski rides and most especially parasailing. These activities will not only make one’s trips memorable but addictive as well, leaving beach bums wanting more.
