GLITERATTI KIDS WALK THE RAMP

- CHRISTIAN B. QUILO, MONICA R. LOPEZ / Writers

Happy, free-spirited and colorful—this is what usually comes to mind when it comes to kids’ fashion. Though the styles change over the years, these are some that remain constant due to the sheer freedom to just go crazy and dress up not just for the occasion but most importantly, for the fun of it.

Clothed in SM City Cebu’s well-loved brands, the city’s ensemble of stylish tots walked down the runway for the first ever Glitterati Kids at The Northwing atrium last May 25.

Glitterati Kids is a spin-off of Glitterati, an annual fashion show considered to be a rite of passage for many Cebuano teenagers.

For the fashion show, the kids were styled in vibrant

summer-themed looks featuring brands such as Forever 21, Great Kids and Osh Kosh.

Leading the pioneering pack of Glitterati Kids were Finn and Sabrina Aldeguer, Brianna Cerezo, Thia Delvallez, Estelle Fernandez, Yohan Gayatin, Ty and Vy Go, Jacob Hyatt, Tamara Jarque, Harvey and Fiona Kekert, Dylan Lampert, Zoe and Zyan Lee, Russ Mata, Kalina Perdices, Zoe Rapes, Saige Romualdez, Mather Rousseau, Lilliana Sasnovski, Thomas Selma, Tristan Tenney, Natalia Velasco and Leah Villarica-Limbo.

Kids walked the runway during the first installment in outfits that reminded audiences of all things sun, sea and summer in playful and laid-back pieces and showed a thing or two when it came to strutting the runway. Though nearing the end of May meant that summer was drawing to a close, the show presented outfits that kids can wear all-year-round even after the season.
