TABAL EXCITED FOR 1ST HIGH ALTITUDE TRAINING

Cebuana marathoner Mary Joy Tabal will not shy away from the challenge as she starts her high altitude training at the St. Moritz in Switzerland with excitement. “This is my first time training in high altitude. So, I’m excited but I know it won’t be easy,” said Tabal, who arrived at St. Moritz together with the elite athletes of Tuscany Training Camp last Sunday night (PHL time). The 27-year-old Olympian will train at an elevation of 5,000 feet at St. Moritz for three weeks. This will be her peak training for the 29th Southeast Asian (Sea) Games, which is calendared on Aug. 19 to 30 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. /
