AGAIN, SHIA?

ACTOR LABEOUF ARRESTED FOR DRUNKENNESS

-

Actor Shia LaBeouf has been released from a Georgia jail after posting $7,000 bond on charges of public drunkenness.

The Chatham County Sheriff's Office said the 31-yearold was arrested in a hotel lobby at 4 a.m. Saturday by the Savannah Police Department.

He also faces charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction.

Police said LaBeouf asked a bystander for a cigarette and when he was refused, he became disorderly, "using profanities and vulgar language in front of the women and children present." When he was told to leave, police said he refused and became aggressive toward an officer. He ran to a nearby hotel to avoid arrest.

LaBeouf is in the Savannah area filming his new movie,

Peanut Butter Falcon, which also stars Dakota Johnson.

This was not the first time LaBeouf was arrested.

Last January, he was arrested in New York following a scuffle with a man. He was charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment. Both charges were eventually dropped.

He was also arrested in 2015 for public intoxication, for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass in 2014 at a Broadway staging of Cabaret, and driving under the influence in 2008.

LaBeouf started as a Disney star, gaining popularity in the show Even Stevens from 2000 to 2003. In his 20s, LaBeouf became a promising actor after starring in one critically hit film after the other: Disturbia, Surf's Up, Transformers, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Eagle Eye and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
