LAPU POLICE TRACES PB MEMBER BONIEL'S TRAIL, DUMPING OF HIS WIFE'S BODY

Boatman Reolito “Etad” Boniel will lead authoritie­s to the area between Caubian and Olango Island in Lapu-Lapu City where Provincial Board Member Niño Rey Boniel and his men allegedly dumped the body of his wife, Bien Unido Mayor Gisela Boniel. The Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LCPO) will reenact today the dumping of the mayor’s body, with hopes of finally locating her. LCPO Chief Senior Supt. Rommel Cabagnot said they will let Reolito operate the motorized banca at the same time Gisela was allegedly picked up by her husband in Bien Unido, up to the time she was thrown off the boat last June 7. Volunteer divers will meet the LCPO team off Caubian for what may be their last dive in an effort to find the mayor’s body.

The Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LCPO) will bring along Reolito “Etad” Boniel with them in the search today to reenact how Mayor Gisela Boniel was brought from Bien Unido to the waters in Mactan last June 7.

Reolito operated the banca when Gisela was allegedly dumped off the islands of Caubian and Olango, after she was reportedly shot by her husband Bohol Provincial Board Member Niño Rey Boniel.

LCPO led by Senior Supt. Rommel Cabagnot will let Reolito operate a motorized banca at the same time when Gisela was allegedly picked up by Niño and his men from Bien Unido. This way, the team will know the exact location of Gisela’s body.

Cabagnot said they will leave with Reolito at 1 a.m. from Bien Unido.

Volunteer divers will depart at 7 a.m. from Hilton Wharf in Mactan to meet the LCPO team in the waters between Caubian and Olango.

Cabagnot said that after the search today, they will make a recommenda­tion for the terminatio­n of the operation to Police Regional Office 7 Director Noli Taliño.

He added that they will just wait for Taliño’s advice. /
