COBONPUE CREATES ‘FREE’ SKY PLAY
It is one of three public plagrounds at SM Seaside along with Water Play and Fun & Play
Since Sky Park of SM Seaside City Cebu opened in 2016, it has been a place of fun and play for Cebuano families, especially the children.
World-renowned furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue’s Sky Play playground is one of the highlights of the Sky Park where one may find UFO-inspired slides and dinosaur-shaped sheds all made of fiberglass and woven polyethylene strips, common materials used in Cobonpue’s furniture designs.
It is with SM Seaside City that the award-winning industrial designer made his first playground project, designing the Sky Play with colorful and bright colors, bringing imagination to children’s playful minds.
The Sky Play occupies 1,250 square meters of the Sky Park’s 20,000- square-meter space. The playground’s floor is made of rubber, securing the safety of kids at play.
When the sun is down, the Sky Park becomes a place for gathering where laughter and togetherness of families are on a high. Children can play at the three playgrounds, namely, Water Play, Fun and Play, and the Kenneth Cobonpue signature playground, the Sky Play.
Kids enjoy the Sky Park for free, making it their second home playground where they get to spend time playing with other kids, at the same time nurturing their creative thought through the simple joys of outdoor play.
Having such wide open space, excellent playground facilities, and together with fun attractions, the Sky Park is truly a destination where family and friends can create treasured memories together.
