CBX HOLDS BUBBLE RUN
CBX celebrates its 30th anniversary by hosting a colorful bubble run on July 23 at the Cebu Business Park The company hopes to raise funds to build toilets at Carreta Elementary School
A colorful bubble run will be hosted by CBX Corp. on July 23 at the Cebu Business Park as part of the company’s 30th year anniversary.
The fun run dubbed as 30th Anniversary Celebration Fartlek Run is open to all runners and will feature three categories—the men’s and women’s 12-kilometer, 6K and 3K.
The run is also the company’s way of giving back to the community as they celebrate their 30-year milestone. Part of the proceeds of the run will go to Carreta Elementary School and Home Care Center For Children.
“We believe that we should pay forward to the community as part of our corporate social responsibility. We have already pledged help to our beneficiaries,” said Wilbert Lim of CBX Corp. during the press conference yesterday.
CBX Corp., a major player in the field of information technology in Cebu, has been helping Carreta Elementary School for the past seven years by giving school supplies to the students. This time, they want to raise funds to build six toilets for the schools.
A total of P150,000 worth of gadgets will be given to the winning runners and in the raffle draw. Among the prizes are branded printers, large monitors, cellphones and external hard disks.
Margie Lim said they will be giving these IT products as prizes to the winners instead of cash. A lot more prizes will be up for grabs for all the runners in the raffle draw.
“We invite the runners, fitness enthusiasts and also the families to join and have fun in the run,” she added.
Colored bubbles
Race director Joel Juarez, for his part, said that this is not the usual bubble run since they will be using colored bubbles, which will be a first in Cebu. He said that the route will be only within Cebu Business Park.
“We thought that doing a fun run will be a memorable event for everyone—the public, our employees and partners. We invite everyone to join,” said Lim.
Registration fee is at P450 for every category inclusive of singlet, race bib, drawstring bag, snacks and drinks, raffle stub and gift voucher. Entry forms are available at the Runnr Store at Ayala Center Cebu, Toby’s Sports at Sm Seaside and SM City Cebu, CBX Stores in North Reclamation Area and Osmeña Blvd.
