With everything that’s constantly happening in the beauty industry— brands release collections and new products every season—it can be hard to keep up with all the goings-on. While you should never feel like you have to go out and buy at least one thing from every collection, it’s just interesting to see what’s out now. Here’s a lineup of what’s new in the beauty world.

Althea Korea turns two

My go-to site for shopping for K-beauty products is two years old this month. I can never forget it since my birthday is also in July! Althea Korea is offering so many discounts, freebies and prizes for its anniversary. You could be the lucky winner of a year’s worth of free shopping on Althea, or a trip for two to Korea! It’s not just a one-time contest either as each week, there is a draw for someone to win P10,000 in store credits. Make sure to visit ph.althea.kr so that you land on the Philippine site, as Althea has different sites for Asian countries.

Urban Decay’s Naked Heat

Urban Decay just can’t stop getting Naked with its eyeshadow palettes. The latest in the lineup is Naked Heat, which like the palettes before it, has 12 different shades. Where the Naked 3 has blush-toned neutrals and the Naked Smoky has dark or jewel-toned colors, Naked Heat has “amberhued neutrals.” There’s a combination of matte and shimmer shadows in reddish tones that you can use to create bold, fiery looks or subtle, sultry ones. I don’t have this palette (yet? Hmm) but the Internet is exploding with all good reviews about this latest release. I think even if you did have one of the previous Naked palettes, this is a beautiful one that’s quite different from previous releases.

Kat Von D now on Sephora

It’s now easier to get a hold of Kat Von D’s ultra pigmented cosmetics from Sephora Philippines. The site just started carrying the line last week, and you can get a free eyeliner or mini liquid lipstick with minimum purchases. I myself only have one Kat Von D product, the Shade and Light contour palette, which is great for evening occasions when a little more facial sculpting is appropriate. Makeup artists love this six-pan contour palette, which has pigmented highlight and contour shades that can work for a range of skin tones.
