Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark Cebu will construct a new wing adjacent to its main building. The addition will have 216 rooms and standard amenities, such as a full-service restaurant, a gym and a swimming pool. The groundbrea­king was held last July 4. The activity included the unveiling of the project prospectiv­e, the burying of the time capsule and the ceremonial shoveling. “Resorts abroad are three times larger than our resort. We have more guests coming in and there was an obvious lack in the number of rooms,” said the resort’s chairman and president Justin Uy. Constructi­on is expected to be finished in 2019.

With the growing number of local and foreign tourists flocking to Cebu, Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark Cebu builds a new building to increase its guest capacity.

Adjacent to the main building, Building G—as the new building is called—will have 216 new rooms, in addition to the resort’s existing 565 rooms. Aside from the guest rooms, it will also have the stan- dard amenities such as a full-service restaurant, gym, as well as its own swimming pool.

On why the management decided to build a new building, Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark Cebu’s chairman and president Justin S. Uy said: “Resorts abroad are three times larger than our resort. We have more guests coming in and there was an obvious lack in the number of rooms.”

Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark Cebu’s Building G is expected to be finished by 2019.
