BIEBER CALLS OFF PURPOSE WORLD TOUR

-

Too bad, Justin Bieber and Kim Chiu will not be meeting this September.

Bieber is canceling the rest of his Purpose World Tour "due to unforeseen circumstances."

His representatives didn't offer details about the cancellation in a statement released Monday but said the singer "loves his fans and hates to disappoint them."

"However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates," the statement read.

In an interview with TMZ, Bieber said he is fine and just needed to rest.

"I love you guys, I think you guys are awesome. I'm sorry for anyone who feels, like, disappointed or betrayed, it's not in my heart or anything and have a blessed day,” the 23-year-old pop star said.

When asked what he will do during the break, he said: “We're gonna ride some bikes.”

Bieber has been on the tour for the last 18 months, playing more than 150 shows on six continents. The Grammy winner's upcoming shows included stops in the US and Canada, including the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

The pop star was supposed to wrap the tour in Asia in September. The tour cancellation comes days after the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture said that it won't be inviting Bieber to perform in the country because of his past "bad behavior." During his 2013 visit to China, he drew criticism when pictures showed him being carried up the Great Wall of China by a pair of bodyguards.

Bieber was planned to perform shows in Tokyo, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore and Indonesia.

Tickets for all of his canceled dates will be refunded at point of purchase.

Bieber had an Instagram live session early this month where Chiu, who uses the Instagram handle @ChinitaPrincess, commented that she will see him in the Philippines. Bieber replied and said he will see “Chinita” in the country.

The exchange prompted InStyle magazine's website to feature the Filipina actress.

Too bad the meeting will not push through.

While fans were disappointed with Bieber, singer John Mayer had the Baby singer's back.

"When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going We've lost so many great artists lately. I give Justin (thumbs up) for realizing it was time to call it. You should too,” Mayer said in a statement on social media.
