Wife caught husband sleeping with another woman

A 41-year-old truck driver and his 34-year-old lover were arrested after they were caught by the former’s wife sleeping together in Barangay Doldol, Dumanjug, southern Cebu at 2:10 a.m. last Sunday.

Police Officer 3 Irish Buena, Women and Children’s Protection Desk chief, said the driver’s 40-year- old wife decided not to file complaints against them.

“Ang mga bata nihangyo nga dili file-an og kaso ilang amahan. (Their children appealed to their mother not to file cases against their father),” Buena said in an interview.

“Naluoy ang inahan sa iyang mga bata. (The mother pitied their children),” she added.

The driver has three sons with his wife.

The police officer, however, said they cannot release the driver yet as he will face complaints for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition since the arresting police officers seized a .45 caliber pistol, magazine, five bullets, and a silencer from him.

The driver’s lover will be released, Buena said.

Before the arrest happened, the wife got home in Barili from work in Lapu-Lapu City last Saturday night.

She looked for her husband, but he was not around.

The wife, who caught her husband accompanying the woman last year, thought that he was with his lover again.

She then went straight to the woman’s house in Doldol and found the driver’s motorcycle parked outside.

The wife reported the matter to the police station.

She later barged inside the woman’s house with the policemen, and found the two sleeping in bed. /
