Owwa 7 launches search for 2017 model OFW family

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (Owwa) 7 is now accepting nominations for the Search for Model OFW Family of the Year Awardees (MOFYA) 2017.

The search aims to recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families.

Candidates for nominations are OFW families residing in Central Visayas (Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental and Siquijor).

Only registered non-government organizations, people’s organizations, religious organizations/associations, community-based socio-civic organizations/associations, and OFW family circles/organizations may nominate an OFW family.

No individual nominations shall be accepted.

Two awardees, one from each category (land-based and sea-based) will be chosen to qualify for the national finals.

Nomination forms may be obtained at Owwa Regional Welfare Office 7, second floor, Dole VII Building at the corner of Gorordo Ave. and Gen. Maxilom Avenue, Cebu City.

Nomination forms with its complete supporting documents must be placed inside a long folder and must be submitted at the Owwa 7 Office not later than Aug. 31, 2017.
