31 DRUG SUSPECTS FALL IN POLICE RAIDS

At least 31 drug personalit­ies, including a high-value target, were caught in separate police operations in Mandaue City during the long weekend.

Raynan “Banong” Pitogo, 23, a resident in Purok Tambis, Barangay Umapad was arrested last Friday.

Arrested with Pitogo were Randy Dela Cruz, 36, of Zone Tamatis in Barangay Paknaan, and Glayza Baclohan, 28, of Tambis in Umapad.

They are both newly identified drug players.

In a press release, Senior Supt. Roberto Alanas, director of Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO), said Pitogo was identified as a high value target 2 and member of Sadaya Drug Group, which has been operating in Mandaue City.

MCPO conducted the operations from Aug. 25 to Aug. 28.

Authoritie­s confiscate­d a total of 42 sachets and a medium pack of shabu, drug parapherna­lia, four motorcycle­s and P10,000 cash from the drug suspects.

The other drug personalit­ies who were caught were Joselito Dinopol of Barangay Casili in Mandaue, Razimje Olivo of Zone Ube in Paknaan, Markkine Aying, and Edgar Elew, who are both from Barangay Mactan in LapuLapu City.

Alanas said MCPO also arrested eight illegal gambling personalit­ies from the different barangays in the same period. The suspects were seen playing hantak, tong-its and illegal number games. They were detained pending charges to be filed against them.
