UV, SHS-AdC stay unbeaten

Defending champion University of the Visayas (UV) and Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) stayed unbeaten in both the SBP and Passerelle divisions of the 32nd SBP Passerelle Twin Tournament backed by Milo following wins last Monday at the Magis Eagles Arena of SHS-AdC in Canduman, Mandaue City

V, the reigning titleholde­r of both divisions, had comfortabl­e victories in both the SBP and Passerelle categories.

UV destroyed University of San Carlos (USC), 8540, in the SBP division.

Daniel Padilla and Vaughn Oclarit had 12 points apiece for UV. Kyle Cabahug led USC with 12.

UV, in the meantime, crushed Southweste­rn University (SWU)-Phinma, 57-29, in the Passerelle division.

Josiah Villamayor had 11 points, while Samuel Melicor added 10 for UV. Job Reyes scored nine points to carry SWU's offensive load.

SHS-AdC handily beat SWU-Phinma, 54-37, in the SBP category.

Erik Jabalon exploded for 13 points, while Jared Bahay and Nikolas Yu chipped in eight apiece. Nicom Cananero had 13 points for the Baby Cobras.

SHS-AdC, meanwhile, squeaked past Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC), 67-61, in the Passerelle division.

Yuri Espina and Brandon Largo was the Magis Eagles' top scorers with 11 and 10 points respective­ly. Kadshien Tagalog and Vincent Escobido were on a scoring tear, combining for 33 points, in a losing effort by the Graywolves. Tagalog had 17, while Escobido scored 16 points.
