3 teens, 7 adults fall in drug busts
Three 16-year-old girls were caught by anti-narcotics operatives in separate drug busts in Liloan and Carcar City.
In a drug den in Barangay Poblacion 1, Carcar, two minors were caught along with adults Jannel Cui, Janjan Cui, Alain Allera and Charito Tangarorang past 3 p.m. last Saturday.
Seized from them were 0.63 gram of white crystals believed to be shabu worth P7,434, a Dangerous Drugs Board value.
Three pieces of rolled paper containing dry leaves of suspected marijuana, P390 cash believed to be proceeds and a P100 marked bill were also recovered from them.
Investigation showed that Janjan had been listed as a street level target, while Jannel, Allera and Tangarorang were newly identified drug personalities.
The minors were visiting the drug den.
Last Friday morning, a 16-yearold girl, who has links with a high-value target, was also caught in Barangay San Vicente, Liloan.
She yielded six packs of suspected shabu worth more than P2,000 to the operatives.
Consolacion Police Chief Mina Domingo said that the girl, who is also a high-value target, allegedly started to sell shabu last February in the absence of her boyfriend.
The girl’s parents knew her illegal activities, but they reportedly did not do anything to stop her.
Consolacion police also arrested suspected pushers Gerson Manatad, Jose Albarracin and John Anthony Malasado in a drug bust in Barangay Casili past 3 p.m. last Saturday, yielding more than P2,000 worth of illegal drugs.
Suspects will face complaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /
