Run to Give 2017: Marriott hosts first-ever fun run
Throughout the years of hosting guests and community, Cebu City Marriott Hotel has always taken to heart the brand values of Marriott International: taking care of its associates, taking care of its guests and serving the community.
In line with its global wellness campaign called Take Care, Cebu Marriott will be participating in an Asia Pacificwide initiative entitled “Run to Give 2017” this Sept. 23. This effort will bring together all Marriott properties across the region to run for a cause, to build better community engagement, and of course, promote health and wellness. Furthermore, each Marriott property or cluster of properties will be choosing a beneficiary where proceeds of the charity run will best be utilized. For Cebu Marriott, it has chosen to partner with Rise Above Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to help improve the quality of life for the poor and underprivileged by means of providing educational opportunities, livelihood training, and health and hygiene programs.
Run to Give will be a first for Cebu City Marriott Hotel and the hotel looks forward to the participation of its associates, guests and partners in the industry. There will be three race categories: 10km, 5km and 3km and all will start and end at The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu. Race route will be within the vicinity of the Cebu Business Park. Registration is on-going at the Cebu City Marriott Hotel.
Registration fees will include race shirts, race bibs, refreshments, finisher’s certificates and a chance to win in the raffle prizes. Raffle prizes range from wellness items, premium travel items, gadgets, lunch and dinner gift certificates from the Garden Café and overnight stays at the Cebu Marriott and other Marriott properties in Asia Pacific. Prerace warm up and post-race cool down and Zumba activities will be facilitated by Zynergy.
Race registration is at P550, P450 and P350 for 10km, 5km and 3km respectively. Special student discounts are also available. Off-site registration is also made available at Runnr store in Ayala Center Cebu.
Run to Give will be under the race direction of Iconic Sports+ Events and is made possible through the following sponsors: Isuzu, Volkswagen, Honda, Ayala Center Cebu, Cebu Business Park, International Pharmaceuticals Inc, Pocari Sweat, Nature’s Spring, Delsey, Magic Melt, Virginia Food Inc. and Globe Telecom.
