The F2 Cargo Logistics Movers shared their volleyball knowledge with the young prospects in Cebu as part of the team’s advocacy to bring sports development to the countryside.

About 70 young players aged 4 to 18 gathered at the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Coliseum-Basak Campus for the volleyball clinic spearheaded by F2 Logistic Movers yesterday.

The 2016 Philippine Super Liga (PSL) All-Filipino champion F2 Cargo Movers was in town for a two-day exhibition game against the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) All-Star Volleyball Team last Friday and Saturday.

After the clinic, two- time University Athletic Association of the Philippines ( UAAP) MVP Abigail Maraño said that they saw potential players among the participants.

“There are players who stood out in setting, spiking, receiving and blocking. We’re very happy to see them here showing interest in learning the sport of volleyball,” said the national team member Maraño.

Maraño, the former team captain of De La Salle University Lady Spikers, feels that the level of volleyball competition in Cebu is growing with more youths showing interest on the sport.

“It feels good teaching the students who really shows interest. I’m happy to be able to share my knowledge to these young players,” said Maraño, who added that if given the opportunity they will return here.

“If not this year maybe (we can return) next year. The players in our team will share our knowledge to the youth because we have to start with them,” she said.
