‘DIY ’ burgers for everyone

Burgers are one of the most straightfo­rward, no-nonsense kinds of food ever created. Now, throw in the freedom of adding more toppings to one’s heart’s content into the mix—now that’s a sweet thought.

At Everything Yummy’s Cebu I.T. Park branch, one can have burgers DIY (do-it-yourself ) style with its Easy Cheesy Adventure.

It first started out with owner Hans Congmon’s desire to create a very classic burger, hence his Easy Cheesy burger creation.

“It’s easy to eat. It’s very tasty, meaty, juicy... it’s easy to pay for because it’s very cheap,” he said chuckling, “and it’s easy to love,” he said about the classic cheeseburg­er.

After, he took things up a notch as he came up with the idea to have diners customize their own burgers and make one as big as one’s face.

Diners start out with the Easy Cheesy burger which comes with: two smashed mini beef patties, American Cheese, shaved onions and drizzled with burger sauce. From there, they can go nuts and list out the toppings they want for their burgers. Its selection of add-ons include bacon, more American cheese (who doesn’t love more cheese?), or egg (sunny side up or scrambled).

Stack up one’s burger with other toppings like mac and cheese, Spanish chorizo, coleslaw, arugula and even pork adobo—it has 12-15 toppings one can choose from so think of the possible creations one can whip up.

The Easy Cheesy adventure is available at Everything Yummy’s Ebloc2 I.T. Park Branch and open daily from 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m.
