Woman killed, dumped in Talisay roadside

- JKV

A woman was found dead by the roadside in Camella Homes Phase 3B in Barangay Linao, Talisay City yesterday morning.

She was identified as 33-yearold May Azalia Albasin, a lotto outlet caretaker.

She had gunshot wounds in her abdomen, left thigh and right arm.

Albasin's relatives believe her still unidentified boyfriend was behind her death.

Remy Albasin Lugan, the victim's mother, told SunStar Cebu that she last saw her daughter last Sunday.

Lugan said her daughter had an argument with her boyfriend, whom she said is "in his 60s and a businessman."

Lugan said the two had been together for almost six years, but Albasin was allegedly physically abused by her boyfriend.

Albasin even filed a complaint before the Talisay City Police Station earlier this year after he allegedly mauled her. However, she eventually dropped the com- plaint, Lugan said.

Albasin had one daughter from a previous marriage.

Police admitted that they are still trying to determine who killed her.

A security camera caught a man taking something out from the passenger seat of a white sports utility vehicle, but he was too far and there was no clear shot of his face, said Supt. Jason Villamater, Talisay City police chief.

But he said they've already invited a person of interest. /
