- / PR

In the Filipino culture, food is at the center of all activities, so that one may say it is the heart of one’s being. It is the reason why Bluewater Maribago concocted occasions and reasons for food celebrations with its nightly themed dinners at the Allegro restaurant.

On Monday, Bluewater offers the Taste of Asia, a gastronomic journey that takes one to the key cities of Asia, featuring the best of Japan, Singapore and Korea in one setting that will surely awaken one’s senses.

Every Tuesday, there is Northern Exposure, a showcase of Luzon’s extraordinary food offerings from the bagnet of Ilocos, laing, sisig, bulanglang and other culinary treasures of the north.

Wednesday brings about the local flavors of Cebu’s gastronomic underbelly with the Cebuano Streetfood Fest. One may indulge in the sinful yet irresistible ginabot, a local favorite, take on the balut challenge, or simply enjoy that distinct taste of Cebu’s version of the pork barbecue made Larsian style.

The Secrets of the South will be revealed every Thursday as Bluewater’s team of expert chefs try to get to the bottom of Mindanao’s rich culinary culture and history.

Palaisdaan Friday brings diners to the quaint fishing villages of the Philippines where a feast of only the freshest bounty of the Philippine seas is served by the beachside under a canopy of stars at Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort.

The Barrio Fiesta celebration at the Allegro restaurant every Saturday is a staple on the itinerary of every traveler hungry for local flavors and passionate about local cultures and traditions. A colorful and upbeat cultural performance by the Bluewater Dance Company will enthrall guests along with a buffet of Filipino specialties including the popular lechon de Cebu.

Salu-Salu every Sunday offers the chance to try the local tradition of the Boodle Fight. It is a meal best eaten with bare hands while partaking in a full spread of local favorites like grilled squid, tanigue steaks, pork belly barbecue and other local favorites.

At the Allegro Restaurant, the management cares so much about the food experience. Bluewater Maribago wants it to be no less than sublime and an adventure that one must partake in. That’s why there is a range of themes that include the comfortable and the familiar, to the exquisite and the exotic. Every dish is prepared and served with loving amuma, the Bluewater Way.
