‘ SMEARING' SEVEN MAJORITY SENATORS

-

A blog site called Silent No More PH called seven senators who reportedly didn’t sign Senate Resolution #516, which condemns the spate of killings in the country and asks the government to stop it.

The Holdout Seven contended they were not shown the resolution, that’s why they couldn’t have signed it. What they resent more was the smear they got in the attack online against the seven senators, including:

Vicente Sotto III was called “rapist, plagiarist and bigot.” He objected to the sexual offense, saying he’d resign if any single case of rape had been filed against him. Could be the wrong Sotto on that one. But he didn’t dispute the other charges.

Manny Pacquiao was called “the most incompetent person in the Senate.” He asked for an investigation of those behind the blog site. No, not an inquiry into who is actually the most incompetent senator.

Aqulino “Koko” Pimentel III, the Senate president, was tagged the “mouthpiece of the administration.” He didn’t complain that he did more than that.

Gringo Honasan: “Key coup plotter and destabilizer after martial law.

Cynthia Villar, as “the business tycoon who “showered the PDP-Laban” with millions of pesos during the 2016 elections to get her son named to the DPWH post and advance family business interests.

Villar hit back by saying two senators are working to destroy the majority legislators: Bam Aquino and Risa Hontiveros.

The seven finally got to sign a similar resolution, SR #518. TIP US OFF. TELL US ABOUT IT. [paseares@gmail.com]
