I’ve enjoyed using a number of recent purchases this past month. Since I know many of us just love a beauty bargain, I’m glad to share that most of these cost under P400 and are easy to find in Cebu!
Nindotte Kiss Me lip and cheek tint
I found this super pigmented and weightless lip and cheek tint at the latest Pop District bazaar. It comes in several colors and while the shade name isn’t on the packaging, it’s the tomato red one I have. It comes in a few other shades such as burgundy and pink, but I found this swatched the best on me. Product goes on cheeks and lips evenly, unlike some tints that make you look more blotchy than blushing. It lasts a long time without clumping or settling into lip lines. This is formulated locally and can be found at Beauty and Beyond in Streetscape, Banilad. It’s only P150 for a 10ml roller vial.
Shawill Perfect Powder in Shade 3
If you want a subtle contour for fairer skin, try this face powder that I found for only P179. It’s not designed as a bronzer or contour powder per se, so it goes on softly and blends so easily if you’d rather people can’t really tell you’ve been sculpting your sockets / cheeks / nose line. This reminds me of NYX Cosmetics Taupe powder blush, but less pigmented. Great for beginners or those who prefer almost undetectable contouring.
Essence Pure Nude highlighter
It felt like summer earlier this month, so I have been wearing highlighters more often than blush, as my face was already pink from the heat. I just got this Essence highlighter last week, but it was love at first shine. The saleslady at Watson’s pointed out this was the last one until they get restocks because other customers had asked to be texted when the last batch arrived. I’m glad she convinced me, because this is a gorgeous baked highlighter that’s as smooth as some high end ones I’ve used, but this is only P379. This peachy glow is subtle enough to wear to work without being distracting. The only down side is its brief staying power (only about three hours on me) but it’s so soft and beautiful you’ll enjoy reapplying it, anyway.
Laura Geller Spackle tinted makeup primer in Champagne
Every single time I’ve gotten compliments lately on my skin, I had on this primer beneath my foundation or BB cream. I use it as moisturizer, and it adds a healthy-looking glow without making me look greasy.
