See you, Piolo!
For a change, promo diva Josie Pereyra invited us to a press conference for the Piolo Pascual-Toni Gonzaga-starrer, “Last Night,” two days after the movie opens in various cinema houses.
I learned that one of the reasons for such change was that the date also coincides with the launch of the cinema at Citimall Consolacion.
Today, members of the E-Group will meet Piolo (Toni can’t make it) at lunchtime and have a Q&A about his latest project before proceeding to Citimall Consolacion for the scheduled cinema launch.
I can almost imagine the chaos and noise that Piolo’s presence will cause among his avid followers in that northern mall. However, I can relate to the indescribable feeling of happiness when meeting a person one idolizes and looks up to with high esteem. Piolo fans, enjoy the moment to the max!
*** Atom Araullo’s exit from the Kapamilya morning program “Umagang Kay Ganda” caught me off guard. I did not see it coming as I thought he had the best time of his life as a broadcast journalist in the network.
His exposure to filmmaking brought about recently by a role in an upcoming movie, and his passion for filmmaking in addition to hosting, had reportedly opened avenues and gave him many realizations as well as aspirations.
When I learned that Atom will be joining the i-Witness group of Howie Severino, Jay Taruc and company at GMA7, I said to myself that Atom’s decision was well thought-of and well calculated.
*** The Binibining Cebu Philippine terno competition in Argao had received praises for its unique concept of using the various parts of the heritage structures in the municipal plaza as backdrop of the different segments of the program.
Congratulations to the pageant director: Victor Hao Cuenco.
