NOT THAT LOUD
JENNIFER LOPEZ CANCELS VEGAS PERFORMANCES
Jennifer Lopez, who has a Las Vegas residency, and Jason Aldean, who was performing during the shooting incident in the Entertainment Capital of the World, have canceled their respective musical performances in light of the shooting incident that killed 59 people and injured hundreds at a country music festival outside the Mandalay Bay hotel.
Lopez is canceling her Las Vegas performances this week out of respect for the victims of the deadliest shooting in modern US history.
The entertainer announced the postponement of her “Jennifer Lopez: All I Have” appearances. Performances set for Wednesday, Friday and Saturday will be rescheduled, and tickets will be refunded or replaced.
Lopez has been a resident performer at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino since February and is set to continue her “All I Have” show there through June 2018.
Lopez said she is heartbroken over the “senseless tragedy” and is keeping the victims and their families in her thoughts and prayers.
Country star Aldean is also cancelling three upcoming tour dates after the mass shooting out of respect for the victims and to take time to mourn.
The singer was onstage Sunday when the gunman shot at the Route 91 Harvest festival.
Aldean said in a statement that this weekend’s shows scheduled for Los Angeles, San Diego and Anaheim, California, would be cancelled and he would resume his tour on Oct. 12 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
“It has been an emotional time for everyone involved this week, so we plan to take some time to mourn the ones we have lost and be close with our family and friends,” he said. He also issued a rallying cry for Americans to come together.
