Licensing office moves to mall

-

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) licensing center and district office in Mandaue City will transfer to JCentre Mall on A. S. Fortuna St. from Barangay Looc next week.

According LTO 7 Director Alita Pulga, the City Government no longer extended their deed of usufruct, which had allowed LTO to use the city- owned lot in Looc, because the City will use the lot for the extension of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology facility.

In order to continue their services within the city, Pulga said they looked for an office space to rent through the government agency’s procurement process and it was JCentre Mall that won the bid.

She said that the mall management will make improvements in their new office with an area of 361.64 square meters. The rental is P94,026 per month.

Based on the terms of reference, Pulga said that the improvements needed in the new office include the installation of counters, tables and chairs, and examination and records room.

“Kinahanglan inig balhin namo ready na gyod ang area so that dili mabalda ang atong serbisyo sa atong katawhan ug sa atong clients. Di man pud na pwede nga og mobalhin ta didto di ta kaserbisyo dayon (It is important that the area must be ready by the time we will transfer there so that our services will not be hampered),” said Pulga.

With their new office, she said LTO will no longer have to think of the aircon maintenance and power, and their clients will be more comfortable.

Pulga said they should not also worry about flooding, which they experience in their office in Looc during heavy rains.
